Confined Space Rescue Technician CSRT

Service Description

This course develops technical skills for those employed in confined space rescue teams. This focuses on enhancing the personal and team skills necessary to conduct complex rescues using ropes systems, stretchers, and supplementary air. This includes incident management and situational analysis through scenario-based training. Valid for: 3 years Duration: 30 Hours (5 days) Certified by: Rescue 3 Europe Pre-requisites: A current Confined Space Rescue Operator, minimum age of 18 years. Course includes: • Introduction to Confined Space Legislation • Personal Safety • Safe Systems of Work for horizontal and vertical entry using Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) • Introduction to gas monitors and the atmospheric hazards • Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) – Escape Sets and SCBA • Introduction to ventilation systems • Working at height, work restraint and work positioning • Rope based team rescues, including twin line, twin tensioned systems • Tripod configuration and mechanical hoists • Vertical confined space entry and exit • Rescues employing SCBA and ventilation systems • Individual pick off rescues • Use of rescue harnesses and stretchers, including litter management • Offsets for guidelines, tracking and deflection. This course is delivered at the company’s location in Plymouth. A mobile training facility can be employed on site for large or prolonged training requirements at company locations. The minimum number required for contract (closed course) is 4 delegates. This course can also be delivered as a contract course at a location that best suits you.
