Service Description

The Rope Rescue Operator (RRO) course introduces the knowledge and skills required by personnel to operate safely and effectively during rope rescues and be an active part of a rope rescue team working under the supervision of Rope Team leader. Course Length: 5 days Valid for: 3 years Certified by: Rescue 3 Europe Pre-Requisites: None Suitable for commercial working at height rescue standby teams, emergency services personnel and mountain / lowland rescue teams. Course includes: • Legislation compliance • Planning and scoping rescues • Team roles, commands, and personal & team equipment • Proving the strength of your rigging is adequate • Anchor systems and belay systems • Tensioning systems & mechanical advantage • Ascending & descending • Rope based raising & lowering systems • Team based pick off This course can also be delivered as a contract course at a location that best suits you.
