Service Description
The Rope Rescue Technician Instructor (RRTi) course covers the teaching of techniques to enable small teams to undertake technical rope rescues. A building block approach is used throughout the course so that candidates can progress from key concepts through to the rigging and operation of full systems for raising, lowering and highline rescues. Assessment Course Length: 3 days Valid for: 2 years Certified by: Rescue 3 Europe Pre-Requisites: • Rescue 3 Rope Rescue Technician (RRT) • Rescue 3 Rope Rescue Technician Advanced (RRTA) • First aid qualification, appropriate for the environment in which they will be working. Suitable for commercial working at height or emergency services personnel who want to instruct standby rescue teams and emergency services teams in rope rescue techniques. Qualified to teach the following Rescue 3 Europe rope courses: • Safe Working at Height (SWAH) • Co-Worker Rescue at Height (CWRH) • Rope Access for Emergency Responders (RAFER) • Rope Rescue Operator (RRO) • Rope Rescue Technician (RRT) Candidates are expected to further develop their personal skills and knowledge between their training and assessment courses, following an individual action plan outlined in the training course debrief. Delivered from our training facility in Plymouth. You will use our indoor roped access training area, outdoor natural crags, industrial sites, MEWPS, crane cages and large structures as part of the course. N.B. This is the RRTi assessment ONLY and you must have completed the RRTi training course within the past 12 months to complete the qualification and become an agency Rescue 3 instructor.
