Service Description

The Rope Rescue Technician (RRT) course takes the rope rescue foundation skills from the Rope Rescue Operators Course and provides the knowledge and skills to design, assess, rig, operate and supervise rope rescue solutions in both man-made and natural environments. You will have the skills to plan and lead a working at height / rope rescue job. Pre Requisites: Rope Rescue Operator (RRO) or evidence equivalent experience for example your IRATA log book. Suitable for commercial working at height rescue standby teams, emergency services personnel and mountain / lowland rescue teams working at height / rope rescue team leaders and lead riggers. Course includes: • Legislation compliance • Leading deployments • Multi point / backed-up anchor systems • Compound and complex mechanical advantage • Use of artificial high directional (AHD) • Litter attending high angle • Passing knots through system • Highline rope systems • Rope access skills • Proving the strength of your rigging is adequate • Individual rescue of team member / co worker Delivered from our training facility in Plymouth. You will use indoor roped access training area, outdoor natural crags, industrial sites, MEWPS and man riding cages on cranes as part of the course This course can also be delivered as a contract course at a location that best suits you.
